In application of Directive 2005/36/EC, implemented in Italy by Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 November 2007, it is possible to submit a request for recognition of language certifications obtained in Romania
Recognition may be requested for all qualifications or language skills acquired, for which the person concerned is legally qualified in the country that issued the title and provided that such qualifications correspond to the Italian system (corresponding profession).
Regulated training means training that leads to obtaining a qualification (theoretical-practical, subject-specific and teaching-pedagogical training) which, under the rules of the country where it was obtained or recognized, allows the exercise of the profession or the recognition of the acquired qualification.
Also for the purpose of proper recognition of the profession, possession of language knowledge is required. Art. 4 of Directive 36/2005/EC and Art. 7 of the related national implementing Legislative Decree no. 206/2007 provide that, for the exercise of the profession, beneficiaries of the recognition of professional qualifications must possess the necessary language skills. Necessary language knowledge means knowledge of the language of the host State at a level consistent with the nature of the profession to be practiced.
